Including, but not limited to vetting and onboarding, rate negotiation, contracting and awarding, and performance review. <br> <br> The Manager of Carrier Development reports to the SR. Director of Carrier Management. <br><br><b> Roles and Responsibilities </b> <br><br><ul> <li> Identifies and recommends optimum hiring of carriers. </li> <li> Negotiate rates to meet business needs. </li> <li> Engage in carrier outreach to identify and build new carrier relationships. </li> <li> Works with internal stakeholders to build carrier capacity. </li> <li> Overall accountability for the compliance of all carriers to KAGL's standards. </li> <li> Manage carrier resources; monitor carrier performance </li> <li> Maintain & perform carrier audits of rates and performance. </li> <li> Coach, mentor, and develop talent within the group </li> </ul><br><br><b> Qualifications </b> <br><br><ul> <li> Bachelor's Degree in logistics, transportation, or related experience </li> <li> Critical Thinking Skills </li> <li> Effective Multi-tasking </li> <li> 5 years of progressive transportation/logistics experience (Bulk preferred) </li> <li> Effective verbal and written communication & organizational skills </li> <li> Rate negotiation preferred </li> <li> Self Motivated </li> </ul> <br> Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
